چکیده
The present investigation aimed at evaluating the effect of Calliandra calothyrsus Meisn green manure on quality improvement maize (Zea mays L.) stover compost. To that end, two field experiments were installed with and a successive potato (Solanum tuberosum crop, which was specifically set up to investigate potential residual effects tested organo-mineral fertilizers. crop did not receive any fertilizer, either organic or mineral. experimental design randomized complete block three replicates. basic plot 1.6 m wide 3 long (4.8 m²). Treatments under evaluation were: T1=Control, T2=Maize co-composted mineral T3=Maize co-compost manure; T4=Farm manure+45-60-30; T5=Maize manure+45-60-30. Evaluated parameters grain yields, root biomass, above-ground Harvest Index, Root/Shoot ratio for L.). Potato yields categorized into small size ( 65 mm). Significant (p 0.05) fertilizer treatments could be noticed harvest index (HI=0.31-0.38) R/S (0.079-0.088). For significant < 0.001) only observed seed-oriented medium tubers (MST) yield. Overall, most relevant observation experiment is T4 T5 gave higher equivalent biomass yields. From there, we derive sound substitute farm manure. Additionally, highlighted T3 treatment, statistically T2. Consequently, advise compost-based fertilizers should evaluated beyond single seasonal in order fully catch their potentials.

An evaluation of yield in "intercropping of maize and potato"
Abstract To find out how maize and potato can grow and develop in an intercropping system rather than each grown alone in a sole cropping system the following factorial experiment was performend in the frame-work of a randomized complete block three replications in the experimental farm of the faculty of agriculture, Zanjan University in year 2004. Different potato to maize ratios of (1:0), i...
متن کاملMaize (Zea mays L.) yield and aflatoxin accumulation responses to exogenous glycinebetaine application
Exogenously applied glycinebetaine (GB) accumulates at high levels in maize (Zea mays L.). Under water deficit and high temperature conditions GB application produces yield benefits. These sub-optimum conditions often result in high levels of aflatoxin accumulation which reduces grain quality. A 3-year (2008, 2009 and 2010) field experiment was conducted to determine the effects of GB on ma...

A experiment was lay out in order to evaluate the effects of different biofertilizers on yield and yield components of maize at the Lorestan provience, Iran. The experiment was a factorial design with three replications. Treatments were three nitrogen biofrtilizers (Nitrokara (N1), O4 (N2), O6 (N3) and control (N4)) and three phosphate biofrtilizers ...
متن کاملForage quality and composition measurements as predictors of ethanol yield from maize (Zea mays L.) stover
BACKGROUND Improvement of biofeedstock quality for cellulosic ethanol production will be facilitated by inexpensive and rapid methods of evaluation, such as those already employed in the field of ruminant nutrition. Our objective was to evaluate whether forage quality and compositional measurements could be used to estimate ethanol yield of maize stover as measured by a simplified pretreatment ...
